The first step to enroll your child is to make an appointment with our school. It is difficult for us to respond to walk-in appointments—please schedule an appointment ahead of time. To schedule an enrollment for grades 3 through 8, call our main office at 410-396-9165.
In order to make your enrollment process as quick as possible, please print out the application packets below and bring them to the school fully filled out.
Our Attendance Zone
City Springs Elementary/Middle School is a public charter school serving students from Pre-K through 8th grade. All students in grades K-8 living within City Springs’ attendance area are admitted to the school. To find out if you live inside of City Springs’ attendance area, enter your address into City Schools’ Neighborhood School Locator.
If you do not live within our attendance zone, there are two ways your child can still attend our school. One way is to enter the charter lottery for the following school year. The other way is contact the school directly and speak with our principal, Dr. Rhonda Richetta, to find out if there are any open seats at the grade level of your out-of-zone child. To contact City Springs, please call 410-396-9165. You also may email Dr. Richetta at rrichetta@bcps.k12.md.us.
Special Rules for Pre-K and Kindergarten
Pre-K parents: space is limited for Pre-K students, so Baltimore City Schools uses a priority system to enroll children. You are strongly encouraged to enroll early so your child is guaranteed a spot. Please click here to read more about BCPSS’s Pre-K enrollment policies.
Kindergarten parents: if children turn 5 between September 2nd and September 15th of the school year, parents may request an early admission waiver by completing an Early Admission Packet. Early entrance into kindergarten is intended for children with exceptional ability who are capable of working in a classroom setting with children who are at least one year older. Early Admission Packets will be available at the school in early spring.
