Enrichment

Learning never stops.

We offer exciting after-school, summer programs, on and off site, and an extensive athletic program for our students to explore, learn, and discover just what they are capable of.

After-school

Our Eagles Nest After School Program is grant-funded through the Maryland State Department of Education and provides 25 weeks of programming for 75-90 students, K-8, including:

  • Homework help
  • Hands-on STEM programming with LETS GO Boys and Girls
  • Daily enrichment at The UA House with a covered turf field (sponsored by the Baltimore Ravens), tutoring center, workforce development and entrepreneurship lab, dance and yoga studio, and neighborhood kitchen
  • Healthy snack and dinner
  • Services to support parental involvement.

Year-round Enrichment

We’re a year-round resource for our students with enrichment through Middle Grades Partnership with Maryvale Preparatory School, the community-based POWERHOUSE run by Living Classrooms Foundation.

Athletics

Our diverse athletics program supports students’ academic achievement and success. Student athletes must maintain a high academic standing, demonstrate leadership qualities, show a high standard of behavior and excellent sportsmanship, and maintain a 90% daily point average.

  • Athletics for elementary and middle grades
  • Teams in football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, cheerleading, track, golf
  • Girls on the Run running club

A big part of our Purple Pride at City Springs is our ongoing partnership with the Baltimore Ravens. Players and coaches visit to inspire our teachers and students, and the Ravens made a significant contribution to our purple turf field.
